With sadness we miss another ex HMAS Voyager shipmate and a long time member of the FESR Association.
Doug passed away in Adelaide on 10th March 2020 aged just several days shy of his 75th Birthday.
Doug fell ill in January 2020 and following that admitted to hospital where he remained until he crossed the bar.

Doug's passing will be very sadly missed by many as he was also the President of the SA FESR Division for a long period and long time member of the FESR Association.

Doug enlisted for 12 years from Brisbane as a JR in 1961 going direct to HMAS Leeuwin thence many drafts during his Naval career.
He joined HMAS Voyager in January 1963 and left in August 1963 after a great trip to the Far East including Japan.
Doug joined Voyager as a REM and later in his Naval career became a POE(WE).

27 Mar 1945 - 10 Mar 2020 74 years.
Born in BRISBANE QLD and enlisted from Brisbane.

Rate : POE (WE)

HMA Ships :Leeuwin, Cerberus, Nirimba, Voyager Jan 196363-August 1963, Watson, Sydney, Gascoyne, Stuart, Kuttabul, Encounter, Parramatta, Harmon,
