Curly crossed the bar at 10:20pm on Monday 15/10/2018 aged 81 years.
Curly done two periods of service in the RAN.
First period of nine years from 7th April 1961 - April 1970
Second period as a PO/UW was from 10th May 1971 - 9th May 1982. Curly paid off in 1982 from HMAS Moreton.
Curly joined the RAN as a Rct/Smn from Brisbane.
He served in the following HMA Ships and Shore bases:
Cerberus, Watson, Queenborough, Penguin, Anzac, Sydney, Warrego, Greencape (Shore), Barcoo, Snipe, Teal, Lonsdale, Kuttabul and Hobart, Cresswell, Duchess and Moreton.
Some of his drafts was to the same ship more than once.
Colin was also a member of the Springwood Tri-Services Club.
